They that know the words -
Healer heal thyself,
Must also know preacher
Listen and do as thou preachest.
Now my teacher of the words
Look to thy own inner light
And learn the good that thou teachest.
For what is become of the willing student -
If the noble teacher believes not in
what she teaches?
If wise and kind the student now becomes,
The one to give and impart
Light and love to a nobler heart,
And hopes that love taught again
fills the soul it reaches.
