The Veil

The heart aches for the dear one missed.
And tears are shed in sadness.
We pine for those we once loved.
A place no longer filled with gladness.

Truly, though, the veil is thin,
And in a moment of peace and quiet,
Our love stretches out - we look within,
And there we see the golden light.

For if the truth be known
The one we miss is still right here, beside us.
Their love and light just grown -
A new way to love and guide us.
